INSPIRATION

I love merging my passion for the botanical world along with my love of the human face. I choose certain elements from the reference photo (whether it be a color, a shape, an object) and try to find ways to elaborate upon these themes throughout the piece.

PALETTE

COLOR is my friend! I love color and choose my colors very carefully so they do not overwhelm each other in one piece. I use the color wheel as my guide and m y intuition fills in the blanks!

TECHNIQUE

As a self-taught artist a lot of my results emerge from experimentation and just going with my “gut feeling”. Over the years I have discovered what brings me the most joy which is a combination of realistic and loose styles all in one place.
