I absolutely LOVE putting together pet portraits and can do so in almost any art media. This client did not want the collar included and gave me free rein to render the background how I pleased. I decided to use the background shapes to inspire me in an abstract pattern of the concrete ground.

 
 

This is my neighbor’s dog, Yuka who is in love with this camping chair and can be seen relaxing in the sunshine on a regular basis. I thoroughly enjoyed painting this portrait in mixed media since Yuka has such a sweet face and demeanor!

MIKEY

 

This is Mikey, the sweetest pit bull I’ve ever met! I enjoy adding colorful themes to the portraits and take time to add colors which I think will complement the overall composition well. In this case, the photograph did not capture his collar so I did not include it and when I went to deliver the portrait to the client, I noticed Mikey was wearing a bright green collar!! To my amazement I had chosen the same exact color for the background so I guess it was meant to be!

PET PORTRAIT PRICE LIST

I am available for pet portrait commissions in a wide variety of media including colored pencil, watercolor, acrylic paint, and pastel. Surfaces will be chosen by me personally depending on the type of art medium used. All surfaces are acid free and archival and all art mediums are artist grade quality.

Please see below for pricing and size allowances:

8x10” $300 for one pet (some additional costs may apply depending on art medium)

9x12” $400 for one pet (some additional costs may apply depending on art medium)

11x14” $500 for one pet (some additional costs may apply depending on art medium)

  • 50% deposit required upon confirmation of commission

  • For additional pet members further costs will be incurred and will be calculated on a case by case basis.

  • Shipping is additional and will be calculated on an individual basis.

  • Finished portraits are unframed. I use only the highest quality mediums and surfaces for finished products including shipping materials.
