"Wings"
Here are the finished "wings" for the "Exquisite Corpse" show.
The piece on the right was made from a vintage wedding dress and my colored pencil "wing" is on the left.
"Nervure"
This is a piece in Colored Pencil which is a fusion of a leaf and an insect wing.
It was made for my part of an "Exquisite Corpse" show where I collaborated with another artist friend.
This is my half of the "wings".
"Exquisite Corpse" show
The buck (top) and corset with ribs (second from top) illustrations are mine.
I was joined in this project with good friend and fellow artist, Palesa Nicolini, textile designer. Over a span of 3 months we worked on our individual pieces blindly, not knowing in the least what our counterpart was creating. We only alluded to the media we were using and left it at that. We came together shortly before the show to expose our individual parts of the project and the rest is art!

The Fox and the Rabbit

Our wall of fame at Norton Factory Studios
This is the side view of the show at Norton Factory Studios, June 2016.

Turing's Echo exhibit at Pro Arts, Oakland, January 2017
This was my part of another collaborative project with fellow textile artist, Palesa Nicolini.
The line art drawing is my own and then I gave it to 5 of my friends to render it however they chose. The idea was to try to put together a final piece which was similar to a mass-produced finished product but each of the pieces of the whole was individually rendered. It is likened to the Andy Warhol theme.
My coloring page made from this drawing is found on my website in the "Coloring Pages" section.
Turing's Echo Exhibit, Oakland , January 2017
This is the final piece shown here with the textiles my artist partner, Palesa Nicolini contributed to the project. She designed the pattern for the blouses and gave the patterns to four of her friends who then used whatever fabrics, embellishments, sewing techniques they saw fit.
Cigar box paintings for Open Studios at Norton factory Studios Winter 2017
This was my exhibit at Norton Factory Studios for Winter 2017. It was a lot of work painting all of those critters onto re-claimed cigar boxes but it was a big success!
