This month we will be using SOFT PASTEL to capture iridescence in nature!

We will paint a Rooster, a Madagascar Sunset Moth, a Bark Scorpion, and Fish!

We will learn how to choose colors, recognize value shifts and translate them into color, layering, blending, and adding texture. We will be using several types of paper as well as soft pastel mediums including pastel sticks, PanPastel, and pastel pencils. Join us for a fun and inspiring month with all things pastel!

This is a monthly subscription to my ongoing ONLINE art classes where each month we will choose a focal subject and will combine it with a particular media such as soft pastels, colored pencil, or acrylic paint. We will learn how to use a wide variety of substrates and solvents to help bring our subjects to life! In addition, I email the students a curated list of my personal photos references for the week’s subject/s as well as an itemized list of the materials I plan to use/demo for the lesson. Classes take place via Zoom platform and are emailed Zoom link before class.
